Millville, Minnesota- The DNA Energy Drink/BTO Sports.com/BBMX motocross team arrived at round seven of the Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championships with a new kid in tow. Lucas Crespi, from Melbourne, Florida saved up enough paper money and returned enough DNA Energy drink cans to make it the pro leagues.
The BBMX boys had spotted young Crespi years ago when he was still on 80’s and decided that this kid had the right stuff and then started giving him stuff to help him out. All the hard work by Crespi and his family paid off as he finished an impressive 19-18 in his first pro race. The youngster qualified twenty-eighth and worked his way through the pack on the rough and sandy track.
The teams other riders, Jason “Doubting” Thomas and Kyle “Tall-boy” Keylon both had days they would rather forget. Thomas, after an absolutely horrid start, finished just outside the points in the first moto and then got taken out in the second moto. Keylon was forced to pull out only 10 minutes into the first practice session, as he is battling an illness right now. He will most likely be on the sidelines for the next few weeks while the team figures out what is ailing him.
“I’m real happy about Luke’s ride” said team manager Forrest Butler “He showed me something out there and as far as the other guys, well they really need to stop running over black cats during the week in their monster trucks, so for now let’s just talk about Crespi!”
