Bel-Ray product of the Month -Foam Filter Oil

This month's Bel-Ray featured product is Bel-Ray's Foam Filter oil. Air filters and oils that saturate them basically do two things: stop dirt and pass air.  The most important aspect is stopping dirt. Don’t let dirt, dust and water slow you down, use Bel-Ray Foam Filter Oil to keep you on the winning track.

PROVEN PERFORMANCE

Bel-Ray Foam Filter Oil is formulated with our proprietary low solvent technology to offer the highest level of engine protection in all conditions. It has been tested and proven to outperform the competition by flowing more air while stopping the most dirt—a combination that makes it completely unique.

MAXIMUM DUST PROTECTION

Bel-Ray Foam Filter Oil provides the highest level of protection from dirt ingress, the most important feature of any air filter oil. Bel-Ray Foam Filter Oil is designed to be a very tacky foam fi lter oil and is without a doubt one of the best products on the market for protecting engines from dust and contamination.

MAXIMUM AIRFLOW FOR MAXIMUM POWER

Although Bel-Ray Foam Filter Oil has the highest level of protection, it’s also one of the highest air flowing foam filter oils available today. When you combine the testing results of air flow versus protection, Bel-Ray Foam Filter Oil performs better than any other fi lter oil on the market.

The colors on the chart demonstrate how each product does that job;

blue bars are excellent, yellow are so-so, and red bars are not so good. Obviously, you want a blue bar oil. Next is airflow. Obviously, an oil that flows air at a higher rate and continues to do so while being loaded with dirt is the most desireable. This performance metric is demonstrated by the height of the bars; the taller bars are better. To pick the best air filter oil, you combine the two factors and look for the oil with the tallest blue bar. Bel-Ray is quite obviously the winner by those criteria.

LOW SOLVENT TECHNOLOGY

Bel-Ray Foam Filter Oil contains a very low level of solvent to ensure proper filtration of the incoming air charge and consistent application. Our low solvent content formula delivers more product per package, unlike many others where the solvent can account for up to 50% of the entire bottle.

TOTALLY WATERPROOF

Unlike many other filter oils, Bel-Ray Foam Filter Oil is totally waterproof and resists ingress of water better than any other filter oil on the market today. Not only does it completely displace water, but it won’t gum or clog if water gets into the air box.

BETTER AIR FLOW AS THE CONTAMINATION BUILDS UP

Our air flow rates are substantially better than other high tack oils as the contamination builds up during use. As dirt builds up on the filter, air flow rates from some of the very tacky filter oils drop dramatically, greatly reducing performance. Bel-Ray Foam Filter Oil holds its air flow rates up to 3 times longer than other tacky filter oils; at the same time keeping contamination levels much lower than the thin solvent oils—the perfect balance of performance and protection.

How to apply Bel-Ray Foam Filter Oil properly:

1. Start with a clean, dry foam filter

2. Spray a thin, even coat or apply an generous amount  of Bel-Ray Foam Filter Oil

    on the filter.

3. Work the oil through the filter as shown, squeezing out any excess oil. Never

twist or wring out the filter,as you may tear the foam. Make sure you achieve

    even coverage.

4. Allow Bel-Ray Foam Filter Oil to set up for 30 minutes before riding with your

    newly oiled filter.
